Paws and Paperbacks is a monthly event that gives children the opportunity to interact with animals through reading. And while the ongoing pandemic has made social gatherings more difficult, the San Diego Humane Society has found a way to continue their efforts.

CHERYL'S GARDEN OF HOPE

Cheryl's Garden of Hope is a community garden that grows fresh produce for San Diego residents who are struggling amidst the hardships of the Coronavirus pandemic. The project's founder, Noura Bishay, is a firm believer in the significance of "hope", as she strives to help others during these difficult times.

Summer 2020

Camp Reach for the Sky is a week long, summer camp experience for children affected by cancer. Their Resident Oncology Camp session is for kids ages 8-17 who are either currently in treatment, or in remission.
